ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK - Concepts for the future

On October 20/21, 2023, the gates will open again for ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK - International Trade Fair and Congress. After being postponed from 2021 to 2022 due to the Corona pandemic, the event will return to its normal biennial schedule in 2023. This year's focus will be on concepts for orthopedic footwear businesses and expanding knowledge about human movement and the therapeutic approach to foot problems.

On 31 January, the Pedorthic Association of Australia (PAA) received the profoundly disappointing news that the Department of Education, in consultation with the Department of Health, has approved Southern Cross University’s (SCU) request to close its Pedorthics and Podiatry programs.

IVO-Congress: Biomechanics of the foot in international comparison

No matter on which continent: the human foot has the same anatomy and biomechanics everywhere. But the cause of foot problems are interpreted quite differently and the therapeutic approaches are often different as well. The IVO Congress is an opportunity to learn about some of these approaches and discuss them with colleagues from other countries. Saturday, October 14, 2022 will be all about the biomechanics of the foot. There will be a translation service for the lectures in the congress for English, German and French.
