This study aimed to compare two ankle-foot orthoses (AFO) with respect to their immobilizing function. The investigation focused on the Relief Insert® Walker AFO (DARCO (Europe) GmbH, Raisting, Germany) and a comparator model already listed in the Medical Aids Directory of the German statutory health insurers.
