Switzerland to host the IVO Congress 2024

Fribourg in Switzerland will host the IVO Congress on October 24 and 25, 2024, organized by the Swiss Foot&Shoe Association in cooperation with the APO-Switzerland.

Switzerland last hosted an IVO Congress in 2006. The venue back then was Basel. In 2024, the congress will take place in Fribourg, the capital of the canton of the same name in western Switzerland.

The event will be held in cooperation with the annual conference of the Swiss Association for Prostheses and Orthoses (APO). Specialized doctors in orthopaedics and traumatology, orthopaedic technicians, orthopaedic shoemakers, physiotherapists and occupational therapists work together in the APO. The APO is under the patronage of swiss orthopaedics (Swiss Society for Orthopaedics and Traumatology), Ortho Reha Suisse ORS (Association of Swiss Orthopaedic Technicians) and the Swiss Foot & Shoe Association (Orthopaedic Shoe Technology and Shoe Service Switzerland). The venue on October 24 and 25 is the Forum Fribourg conference center.

The IVO Congress will also celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Foot & Shoe Association.
