Back to the Future: OTWorld 2022

Global, on-site and digital: Preparations have started for OTWorld 2022, the leading international interdisciplinary and professional platform for modern orthopaedic treatment and care. In the wake of the exclusively digital OTWorld.connect, the industry eagerly awaits the next edition of its global event, once again to be held as a face-to-face gathering in Leipzig from 10 to 13 May 2022. Developed and tested through the pandemic, many of the digital elements will help expand the event's international reach.

The new OTWorld Studio will link both worlds by streaming interviews, panel discussions and talks directly from the event to the virtual world. In addition to the on-site offer at the Leipziger Messe fairground, there will be a new online format called Innovation Talks for those interested in participating remotely. Interdisciplinary congress programme

Visitors to the congress will be spoilt for choice with the education programme: The world congress offers symposia and satellite symposia by cooperating academic and scientific organisations. Experts from all over the world will be discussing the sectors’ most important trends and new developments within an interdisciplinary context as well as the key-topics of the scientific congress.

There will also be some symposia within the congress related to the treatment of the foot, such as, the paediatric foot, from conservative to surgical approaches; sports and orthotics; innovative concepts for the foot in athletes – rethinking the shoe and insole and using assessments as a quality assurance tool in P&O and pedorthics.
