New date for OTWorld 2020
OTWorld 2020 is postponed in view of the increasing spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. The decision to postpone OTWorld 2020 until autumn 2020 was made in close cooperation with the German Federal Guild Association for Orthopaedic Technology (BiV-OT), Confairmed GmbH and the OTWorld exhibitor advisory board. The new date is 27 - 30 October 2020.
Martin Buhl-Wagner, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe, said: "With more than 570 exhibitors from over 43 countries, OTWorld is the world's largest and most important industry meeting place for all service providers, manufacturers and retailers in the field of modern medical aid supply. We take our responsibility for the health and safety of our guests, exhibitors and employees very seriously. Thus, in agreement with the German Federal Guild Association for Orthopaedic Technology, Confairmed GmbH, as well as the OTWorld exhibitor advisory board, the decision was made today to postpone OTWorld 2020".
Alf Reuter, President of the BIV-OT: "As the leading event in the industry, it was a particular concern for us to find a new date before the end of this year and thus to ensure global exchange on the modern supply of medical aids. In view of the current situation, we tried to reach a consensus with all participants. We have succeeded in doing this with the date in autumn."
