14es Journées de l’Apareillage du Pied
March 9-10, 2017, Nancy, France
Two years after organizing the IVO-Congress in Paris, the FFPO (Fédération Française des Podo-Orthésistes) organizes “Les 14es Journées d'Appareillage du Pied”, the French Pedorthic Congress, in Nancy, France. This will be the first french congress under the patronage of the FFPO, which is the union of the French associations UPODEF (Union des Podo Orthésistes de France) and CSNPO (Chambre Syndicale Nationale des Podorthésistes).

2017 PAC Symposium
April 21-22, 2017, London/Ontario, Canada
The Pedorthic Association of Canada (PAC) is hosting the 2017 PAC Symposium in London, Ontario. More than 300 pedorthists, podiatrists, chiropodist, orthotists and others concerned with the neurobiology of pedorthics are expected to attend this meeting.
PAC’s annual Symposium is an educational event known internationally for bringing together some of the best keynote, plenary and workshop speakers from around the world, the symposium gives attendees a rich learning experience. A range of workshops provide relevant, practical tools which can be applied to daily practice along with presentations by the world’s leading researchers in related fields. In addition the symposium features a tradeshow with 80 exhibit booths. All breaks are held in the exhibit hall, as well as both breakfasts and a lunch. That is to ensure that exhibitors and attendees have ample opportunity to meet.

16th ISPO-World-Congress
8-11 May 2017, Cape Town, South Africa
As ISPO’s flagship meeting, the 16th World Congress is a unique interactive forum where many professionals involved in the care of persons in need of prosthetic, orthotic, mobility and assistance devices come together to learn about the latest scientific and clinical advances, products, innovative technologies, designs and materials in prosthetic and orthotic care.
The interdisciplinary programme features symposia, instructional courses, exhibitor workshops paper-, and poster presentations. Also, it offers professionals involved in P&O rehabilitation a unique opportunity for continued development through discussion and exchange between teachers, clinicians, researchers, technicians, manufacturers, doctors and therapists.
Furthermore, the parallel exhibition provides a platform for equipment manufacturers from across the globe to showcase their products. Educational institutions, systems and service providers, rehabilitation centers and financial institutions also get an opportunity to promote their activities to an international audience while learning, sharing, initiating new projects and building partnerships.
4. ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK
20 – 21 October, Cologne, Germany
On 21/22 October 2017 the 4. ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK – International Trade Fair and Congress will open its doors in Cologne. After only three events, the ORTHOPÄDIE SCHUH TECHNIK has turned into the most important meeting point of the pedorthic industry within a very short time.
The 2017 edition will see around 160 exhibitors, covering all aspects of pedorthics. The congress will again feature workshops, lectures and seminars and will offer attendees an overview of state of the art treatment as well as numerous stimuli for the further development of pedorthic concepts. All lectures in the congress hall will be interpreted simultaneously into English.
The 2017 event will also celebrate 100 years of pedorthics in Germany. 1917 a group of shoemakers, which specialized in pedorthics founded the “Bund Deutscher Orthopädieschuhmacher”, the predecessor of todays „Zentralverband Orthopädieschuhtechnik“
IVO Congress 2018
April 13 to 14, 2018, Toronto, Canada
The Pedorthic Association of Canada (PAC) is hosting the 2018 IVO World Congress from April 13-14, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario. Pedorthists, Podiatrists, Chiropodist, Orthotists from around the world are expected to attend this meeting.
Toronto is the most populous city in Canada, the provincial capital of Ontario, and the center of the Greater Toronto Area, the most populous metropolitan area in Canada. Toronto is an international center of business, finance, arts, and culture, and is widely recognized as one of the most multicultural and cosmopolitan cities in the world. With its numerous museums and galleries, festivals and public events, entertainment districts, national historic sites, and sports activities, Toronto offers many key attractions to the over 25 million tourists that visit the city each year.
Alongside the city’s attractive ambiance and its proximity to many other tourist attractions, the city’s good accessibility tipped the tables in its favor, explained PAC Managing Director Jonathan Strauss, when asked why Toronto won the venue bid. Numerous countries have direct flights to Toronto, which makes it easy for the congress attendees to travel to and from the venue.
